Move Dat Dance Craze Sets Internet Ablaze

What do you get when you combine energetic dance moves, young and talented artists and social media? A recipe for one of the hottest dance hits, that’s what.
Cleveland, Ohio natives Nisiah “Nahzzy” Sanders and DJ Legend have successfully galvanized a social media movement, and are making some major noise with the release of their Hip Hop dance song Move Dat. If you follow the hashtag, #Movedatchallenge, you’re sure to see a slew of fans showing off their best rendition of dances like the Milly Rock, the Shamoney and Lean With it Rock, Rock With It on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Since its debut in October 2016, the fun and energetic song is 3 minutes and 40 seconds of fast tempo beats that combine sounds from hits like Soulja Boy’s Superman and D4L’s Laffy Taffy, while encapsulating some of today’s most popular dances.
The duo strategically capitalized on the dance/song trend by keeping their song short, simple and fun, shopping it around to as many DJs that they could. “It’s all about networking,” Sanders explained. But if you thought the young group just danced, then you’re sadly mistaken. Sanders explains, both want to be known for more than their dance moves, but their lyrical skills as well.
“We dance, but we don’t want to just dance, we actually rap.”
